Synchronization
If the subtitles are for hearing impaired, you will have to include 'hi' in the message as well.
Movie
In Overseerr/Jellyseerr, navigate to the movie thats subtitles need to be synchronized and:
Report an issue of type
Subtitle
In the message field, enter the language mapped keyword followed by a sync keyword and submit the issue
Example: Eng subtitles are out of sync
, de sync
, dansk subs are messed up
Once the process is finished, you will be notified with a message like: English subtitles have been synchronized.
Series & Anime
The process of synchronizing subtitles for series followes similar steps with the difference being the choice for affected season and episode.
Synchronizing Specific Episode
Report an issue of type
Subtitle
Select the affected season and episode
In the message field, enter the language mapped keyword followed by a sync keyword and submit the issue
Synchronizing Whole Season
Report an issue of type
Subtitle
Select ONLY the affected season
In the message field, enter the language mapped keyword followed by a sync keyword and submit the issue
Advanced Synchronization Options
Manual Adjustment
In the case where the subtitles are still off by a couple of seconds or maybe a minute, you can send a request to Bazarr with exactly how they should be synchronized by structuring your message the following way:
adjust by s/ms/m/min
Examples: en adjust by 2 min, en adjust by -20 ms, en adjust by 5 s
Offset
In the case where you want to specify the offset, you can use include the offset
keyword in your message, followed by a number to specify the subtitle offset.
Example: en offset 120
If the subtitles are for 4K media, you will have to include '4K' in the message as well.
Keep in mind that synching 4K takes longer on average due to the size of the files.
